Healing Happens in Connection

Therapy Groups

  • Reclaiming Yourself

Healing After Abusive & Controlling Relationships

A therapy group for adults healing from emotionally abusive, controlling, manipulative, coercive, or otherwise harmful intimate relationships.

Leaving the relationship does not always mean its effects disappear.

You may still find yourself questioning your judgment, struggling with boundaries, feeling responsible for other people's emotions, replaying what happened, or wondering how you became someone you no longer recognize.

Reclaiming Yourself is designed to help participants understand the effects of abusive and controlling relationships while rebuilding confidence, boundaries, identity, and trust in themselves.

    We may explore:

    • Emotional abuse and coercive control

    • Manipulation and unhealthy relationship patterns

    • Trauma responses and emotional triggers

    • Self-doubt, guilt, and shame

    • Trauma bonds and difficulty letting go

    • Rebuilding boundaries

    • Learning to trust yourself again

    • Reconnecting with your identity

    • Recognizing healthy relationship patterns

    • Moving forward without allowing the past relationship to define you

  • Healing From Childhood & Family Trauma

For Adults Still Living with the Effects of Childhood Trauma

Childhood experiences can continue shaping how we think, feel, relate to others, and respond to stress long after childhood has ended.

This group is for adults who grew up experiencing abuse, neglect, instability, abandonment, family violence, addiction in the home, chronic conflict, or other family environments that did not consistently feel emotionally or physically safe.

You do not need to minimize what happened simply because it occurred years ago.

Healing From Childhood & Family Trauma provides a structured space to understand how those experiences may still be affecting your relationships, emotions, boundaries, identity, and sense of safety today.

    We may explore:

    • Childhood emotional, physical, or psychological abuse

    • Emotional neglect

    • Growing up around addiction, violence, or instability

    • Parentification and having to grow up too quickly

    • Hypervigilance and difficulty feeling safe

    • People-pleasing and overfunctioning

    • Shame and self-blame

    • Fear of abandonment or rejection

    • Difficulty trusting others

    • Boundaries with parents and family members

    • Repeating unhealthy relationship patterns

    • Learning to regulate difficult emotions

    • Building an identity separate from your family history
